Ugeddit Origins #06: We All Link Together

So, the second company I started, which was nothing like Ugeddit is now, was called WeLink (you won’t find it anywhere, so don’t look 😉), and like I mentioned, it was for a completely different audience and purpose.

WeLink was a business matchmaking and dealmaking platform to help business owners and startup founders find the people they need in order to fill in their gaps in skill, knowledge, and industry insights, and by doing so stabilize their foundation, maximize their profits, and unlock higher levels of revenue for their companies.

Sounds nothing like Ugeddit, does it? And sure, the “connecting” people part might be similar, but did you notice what the intention was focused on? Money, which is the same intention as almost every other company and startup. But, that’s when I remembered I don’t give a crap about money, and neither does anyone else.

Wait, neither does anyone else? Yes they do, don’t they? Well, let me ask you this: is money by itself important to you? Or is money simply one of the many things that helps you get what you really want? You know, that experience, that incredible feeling that makes you feel on top of the world and amazing, or that makes you feel completely and utterly happy and content. Yeah, Ugeddit, don’t you?

There’s a reason some people refuse to pay $10 for a burger, but others happily pay $200 every month to go to a gym or club; it’s that feeling.

And so I shifted gears completely to giving people just that feeling, but I immediately noticed a problem…
