Focusing the value we give

We had a revelation: we were aiming too far, too early.

But, after reviewing our core value and clearing out the “shiny objects”, we’ve refocused on the main purpose for Ugeddit: dissolving conflict through better understanding.

We’ve reorganized our priorities and updated our decisions to align with this better focus.

First, our roadmap before was full of ideas, but now we’re filling it with solid tools, tools with a clear function, purpose, and most of all, value for you, and for us. A website update for it may or may not be coming soon (our priority is making it happen, not decorating, but if we have time, we will).

Second, for development, We’re looking for a top-tier full stack developer who’s willing to volunteer initially and/or sees the value of equity in Ugeddit that I, unless I die first, will make into a multi-billion dollar company. Even a fraction of a percent of $1B is over $1 million. Because our 3-month agreement with Nasir had ended, we’re down to 1 developer, which is just me (Sabian), where I’m also managing several other things. On top of this, we’ve encountered another roadblock with the automatic app uploads. I don’t have a Mac, and the iOS app requires a Mac-specific program to make it work (thanks, Apple, for making things easy). This is why we haven’t been able to set up the automated app uploading yet, but with a top-tier FSD, we will be rocketing through this way faster.

Third, for finance, we’re looking for someone to help with the finance side, particularly securing funding from ethical sources aligned with our values and mission, and helping fill any holes in my business model, because there ought to be some, if it was made by me (😅). I’m not a money person, like at all, as in I don’t get excited about making money, and I am furiously against making money off of manipulation and conflict. People who know me know this very well. I’m a technology, process, communication, and people person who values efficiency, improvement, and wide-reaching, long-term sustainability, so if you introduce a money person, I appreciate it a lot.

These are our priorities. There may be several people we haven’t followed up with in a while, but these 3 things trump all. If you find an alignment with one of these goals, reach out to us (again, if necessary), because we want to get this moving faster, sooner, and better.

Let’s do this.
