The Medical Adventures of Sabian Chapter 2: Smooth Sailing (1/2)

Previously: The Medical Adventures of Sabian (2/2)

The last part of this story was a false ending, so here’s what happened next (it’s much better).

Day 3 (Monday)

Because of Saturday’s ridiculous going-in-circles fiasco, today you decide to visit the medical clinic to ask for proper, correct information about where to get a scan at a location that has the specialized equipment required for your particular scan.

When you arrive, you see a sign on the door saying “No walk-ins on Mondays, due to doctor shortages”, but you quickly realize you can also ask the admin desk for the info too. Ruby is at the desk today (same person you spoke to on the first visit). You tell her the information you have is apparently incorrect and/or unreliable for locations, opening/closing times, and specialized equipment, and ask her if there’s updated information on where to get your scan.

Ruby’s understanding about it (maybe because you treat her well) and she even says she will call the hospital across the street which definitely has the specialized equipment, schedule a scan with them, and call you once it’s confirmed. You’re pretty much bowing to Ruby at this point.

Unfortunately there was no way of knowing ahead of time what schedule the hospital would open up for you, but it’s better than Saturday for sure. So you thank Ruby and leave the clinic, but realize you forgot to schedule a followup with the doctor for after the scan is finished.

You went back to the clinic, but Ruby was on the phone, so the second clerk called you over. You ask for her name, and she says “I’m Michelle”. You say ask to schedule a followup, and she happily helped you do that. Yes, it was that easy, so you thank her by name with a smile, “Thanks a lot, Michelle”, and she says “You’re welcome!”, before you leave the clinic once again.

And that was it. Done. Everything has been set up, and you went home much earlier than you expected. All that’s left for this situation is getting that scan done, and following up to make sure the scan finds nothing, or if it does find a problem, then taking the next steps to resolve it
